Treasure Room

The Treasure Room is the space located directly above the Floor Room and is identical to the Kunsthalle’s painting storage area. This room is specially protected by an alarm system, making it particularly suitable as a location for a piece of jewelry that depicts the virtual figure of the “HMap,” the artist’s main symbol, in a physical form.

At the center of the room, directly in the middle of the light-flooded hole, is the “HMap” symbol, cast in gold and suspended from hair. At its center is a diamond, which simultaneously functions as an energy center and a diffusion element for the light rays entering from below and, temporarily, from light sources in the room. A lens and a crystal ball amplify the power of the light beam.

The symbol of the “HMap” is transferred with the light into the StilleRaum (Still Room) located above the Treasure Room, where it can be perceived as a shadow projection in the palm of the hand or on a white surface.

“HMap” is, among other things, a symbol of balance and harmony. It symbolizes the complex interrelationships of the elements and the senses, which exist in a universal, organic relationship. Thus, the H symbol encompasses, among other concepts, the concepts of harmony, health, heaven, honesty, humor, humble, happiness, halo, heart, hope, etc. The underlying principle of the H symbolโ€”a mutually dependent condensation and expansionโ€”is also a reflection of life and the universe.
